BudoSeek! Articles and Essays |
|
|
|
So have you always wanted to be an author
and have your writing disseminated all over the internet? Well, now is
your chance!
We are happy to announce the creation of
the new BudoSeek! Articles & Essays Section.
So how can you contribute? Here is some
information that you need to know.
-
We are looking for articles about a
variety of martial arts topics. This can be technique specific,
historical, strategy, competition, weapons or just about any topic
you can think of.
-
All arts are welcome, and the more
diverse the arts, the better!
-
Your articles can include graphics
and photos if you like. If not, that is fine.
-
Articles may be submitted via email
attachment in any file format (MS Word, WordPerfect, ASCII, etc),
except Macintosh. Mac users, please send via email after you have
"cut and pasted" the content to the body of your message.
-
Place your photos or graphics where
you want them in the article, but please send the graphics as
separate graphics files as well. That way, we can be sure that your
photos/graphics will be of the highest quality. Photos and graphics
should also be in either .gif or .jpg format. If you submit your
article in text (ASCII) or in the body of an email, please put in
the article [photoXX] where you want specific photos inserted.
-
Before submitting your article, read
it over and over and make your best attempt to correct spelling and
grammatical errors. Have a friend or colleague read your article and
make additional corrections. You should correct as much as possible
before submission, otherwise we will have to do it, and often
editing can alter the message that you are trying to get across to
our readers.
-
Once you have things ready to go,
send your article to
webmaster@budoseek.net. Your article will be reviewed by our
editorial board and once approved it will be published on our site.
-
You will always be given proper
credit for your article. A small "about the author" paragraph should
be at the end of your article, with any contact information that you
may wish to include such as an email address, website URL, etc.
-
Finally, once your article has been
accepted for publication, it will become the property of BudoSeek!
Martial Arts Community, and we ask that you not publish your article
elsewhere without our permission. We will probably grant that
permission if you ask, and as the author, we will always respect
your rights as such. If at anytime you wish to have your article
removed from our site, we will do so immediately.
If you have any other questions about
publishing an article on our site, please feel free to contact me at
webmaster@budoseek.net.
