BudoSeek! Chat Help

Enter the Chat Room

  1. You must have a JAVA capable web browser to participate.  That means, MS Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, versions 3.0 or higher. You must also be a registered member of the BudoSeek! Discussion Forums to user the chat room.

  2. The Chat Java Applet will take some time to load on your computer depending upon the speed of your internet connection and your computer.  Be patient.  When it is finished, you will see two one-line text boxes  File them in as follows:

In the "Username" field, type your BudoSeek! Forums Username
Note: If you are registered user of the discussion forums and logged in, then your username will be filled in and you will be logged in automatically. If you are not logged in automatically, then your username is longer then 15 characters or is two separate words (i.e. Bob Smith), or your username requires a password (Administrators). To enter the chat, either retype your username to one word (i.e. BobSmith) or enter your password.

  1. Click the "Login" button and it will start the chat session.  This is the actual chat window.  Type where indicated in the illustration below and press Enter or click the Send button..

  1. When you want to end your chat, announce you are leaving and click the "Logout" button.

  2. For a Private Chat with another User, double-click the Users Name (right hand side). 

  3. To open the Chat Window into its own separate window, click "Float".
