Hi all,

I'm just enquiring into the topic of stretching for kicking high etc. and would like to know what the overall best method is to attain the flexibility to do front and side splits.
Now I read somewhere that doing the splits has nothing to do with your inner thigh muscles being too short but rather you nervous system, and that you need to teach it to accept the movement. Now I know it still hurts the inner thigh muscles when trying to split, so I'm a bit confused.

Basically what I want to know is what everyone in general thinks and what they feel works for them seeing that I have been trying to split for the last year but to no avail yet :)

There is quite a bit of information on this forum discussing the split in great detail already.
Do a search using the search function at the top of the page and iy'll pull it up for you.

I don't know what bothers me more, the fact that I did not notice the search function or the fact that people have the time to put sarcastic comments on here...
