I only saw the first video, couldn't get the second to work.

That was in the ADCC absolute division. About a 100 pound size difference. :)
Garcia is constantly on the initiative - he was literally chasing Ricco across the mat, to the point that someone in the crowd yelled "Run, Ricco, Run!" Understand that the crowd was very quiet, practically silent, during the entire tournament except when something happened. It was quite comical.
On his instructionals, he constantly re-inforces initiative and making your opponent react to you versus reacting to him. The fascinating thing to watch is exactly that efficiency - the man fights the same way whether he is going against someone in his weight class or someone that outweighs him by over 100 lbs. He is not a plodding grinder like some of the larger fighters are, but rather a ball of movement and energy directed always at dominating the opponent. He truly is a model of what jujutsu is supposed to be.
And he does this against highly conditioned, world class grapplers be they wrestlers, BJJ, whatever. THAT should make everyone take notice.
What is also nice about his instructionals (I have the gi and no gi sets) is that he shows his "secrets." He shows how he fights. He does not teach a series of concepts and moves and then on the mat uses a completely different style, as I have seen some do - he does exactly what he teaches.
That actually may have hurt him - people were ready for his arm drag/leg pick/take the back move this time. He got it but not always so successfully. He will probably have to develop something new to deal with the competition he faces - who I am sure all bought his DVD series.
His DVD instructionals are available here:
