Brandon Jones
CST Head Coach Brandon Jones began his martial arts studies at the tender age of eight. His tireless pursuit of knowledge led him to train with many people in a wide range of arts, and to earn several black belts and teaching certifications along the way. Years ago, he opened his own martial arts school in northern California, where he taught the classical Chinese Internal Arts of Xingyi , Tai Chi, and Western Boxing, as well as several esoteric systems of meditation and chi kung.

His training philosophy during that time was simple:

Train Harder and Do More than everyone else…
Sadism is requisite…
Contact is good.

In the late 1990’s Brandon came across Coach Scott Sonnon’s “Grappler’s Toolbox” video series. He knew immediately that this was what he had been searching for. The series had a profound impact on him; he knew he could no longer teach in the same way. All of his questions and ideas, all of the nagging doubts that he had long harbored about traditional training, were confirmed by Coach Sonnon’s work. He dropped all of his traditional training to devote himself fully to exploring this exciting new method.

Brandon closed his school in northern California and joined the Navy. After a five year stint of dedicated study of Coach Sonnon’s materials, he started attending CST seminars and working more and more with Coach Sonnon in person.

As a graduate of CST Alpha Brandon was one of the first certified Circular Strength Trainers, and was among the first few to be named to CST Head Coaching staff.

Brandon’s passion for boxing led him to pioneer velocity-specific Clubbell® training, the subject of his book “Going Ballistic.” Not one to gather dust, he is now hard at work on several new projects.

He currently resides in Fresno, California where he works with private clients in the areas of fitness, conditioning and fighting (with an emphasis on the latter).

Coach Jones’ training philosophy has evolved along with RMAX, and is now

Train smarter and more efficiently than everyone else…
…contact is STILL good!
…and a little sadism goes a long way.

As for the future, Brandon is actively working towards the establishment of RMAX gyms, and one of his personal goals -- helping to crank out some of the most efficient and effective fighters on the planet!

Joseph Wilson
Head Coach Joseph Wilson is a Martial Artist, a teacher, a police officer, a public speaker, and a writer. He began his training in 1979 at the Whitehaven YMCA in Memphis, TN. Joe was born pigeon toed and had to where braces on his legs until he was 8 and corrective shoes until he was 13. Doctors told him that he would never be able to have normal athletic abilities and that flexibility would always be a challenge for him. He was swimming before he could walk. Doctors had encouraged his parents to get him swimming as it may be the only exercise he could do. Joe’s mom was a lifeguard and a swimming teacher at the local YMCA so this worked out great. At 4 he would help his mom teach swimming classes by demonstrating stokes and showing other kids that they could do it. At 4 after seeing the famous fight scene from Billy Jack, Joe knew that he wanted to do Martial Arts. After his parents found out that he could train for free because his Mom worked that the Y they allowed him to start taking Martial Arts. Throughout the years he would change arts as his parents moved from neighborhood to neighborhood. He would generally have to walk to whatever school that was closest and train in whatever they taught. This gave Joe a wide range of training at a young age. He received his first Black Belt at 12 and then changed schools again. The new school introduced him many new arts and training methodologies. He trained in every art the school taught. Joe started teaching at 14 and fell in love with teaching. At 15 he started competing in Full-Contact Competitions (Japanese knock-down rules) and traveling and doing seminars and training with whomever he could. Joe traveled and competed or did seminars almost every weekend through all 4 years of High school. He had to work at least 2 jobs plus teaching to pay for his travel. At 18 after graduating High school with honors and starting college he opened Memphis Martial Arts Center. At 18 Joe started assisting one of his teachers in training Military Units for combat. This eventually worked into a contract for Joe to train hand to hand combat for Military Special Forces for 2 years. Also at 18 Joe was also in almost constant pain from years of improper and over training. He started practice Yoga and Qigong to help abate the pain. At 21 Joe became a Law Enforcement office and a whole new world of opportunities opened up to him. Through the Sheriff’s office he was able to advance himself in many areas from public speaking to close quarters combat. Joe had always been a student and was always searching for something to bring all of his training together. Joe met Coach Scott Sonnon at a Hall of Fame ceremony where they were both being honored. He knew immediately that he had found his new teacher. Coach Sonnon showed Joe how to unite Martial Arts and Physical Culture. Since he began his training in RMAX and CST his whole life has changed. He is happily pain free and has unbelievable freedom of movement. He was honored to be feature in an RMAX/CST video project on the art of Prasara, and is looking forward to being an assistant instructor at upcoming RMAX/CST events. Below is a list of some of Joe’s accomplishments. Joe considers being named Head Coach for RMAX/CST his best accomplishment to date. He is excited to be working on two different video projects and a curriculum for group CST classes for gyms and Martial Arts school.

Dani'l Chomycia
Pronounced ( Dahn-uhL) (Ko-me-sha)

The "Extreme Coach"

Circular Strength Training™™ Head Coach, Dani’l Chomycia is Writer for CST Magazine, author of Mobilized Strength, the Video Trainer of the Catch-22 DVD, and a RMAX Softwork™™ Martial Art Instructor.

He has been in numerous videos and DVDs such as Leg-Fencing™ and Softwork™™ martial art video series, as well as the Maximology™™ performance enhancement video series.

At age 27 he is working on his 10th year in Martial Art, Health, Fitness, and Strength Training. Recently launching his new website www.ExtremeCST.com, Coach Chomycia is dedicated to taking Circular Strength Training™ to advanced levels of sophistication, talent, imagination, and inspiration. Coach Dani’l Chomycia can be seen alongside Coach Scott Sonnon in the June 2005 issue of Martial Arts Illustrated Magazine.

The History of Coach Chomycia:
Coach Dani’l Chomycia began training in Traditional Martial Art immediately after Graduating High School. Upon receiving his only his second rank in that system he quickly realized that there either should be better Martial Art training than this or he’ll have to create it.

After a year of searching he found Coach Scott Sonnon and began training at one of his seminars. Dani’l did independent study for a year before misfortune struck and Dani’l was unable to train due to financial hardship for 2 years.

Once the storm blew over he regained his financial poise and began training more seriously; flying out to the East Coast to train with Sonnon every chance he could.

In those days the seminars were held outside in the cold, heat, rain, ice, or snow. In the beginning Dani’l being only an Orange belt was virtually outclassed by his much more experienced peers on every level. Yet he continued to train, continued to study everything Scott Sonnon had to teach.

Most of the time; he would watch his videos and train instead of watching television. He began to understand mentally everything that Sonnon had to teach and began a training group to gain experience.

Shortly after Coach Sonnon moved to the West Coast. Dani’l lost his job at IBM due to the economy. So he moved from his home in Austin Texas to Seattle to become Coach Sonnon’s Private student and assistant in the filming of Leg Fencing and Flow-Fighting video series.

Coach Sonnon then began formulating his ideas on CST and created the Clubbell®®. Coach Sonnon offered to train him in CST. Dani’l accepted and became one of the first to be Certified as a Circular Strength Training™ Instructor from the Alpha Cadre.

A year later Coach Sonnon made him the one of the first CST Head Coaches largely responsible for the education of new CST Instructors.
Then Dani’l assisted Coach Sonnon in the research for Softwork™™, and participated in the filming and coaching of the inaugural Softwork™™ seminar now on DVD.

The future for Coach Dani’l Chomycia:
Coach Dani’l Chomycia trains to inspire the world with his advanced CST exercises and innovation. He recently began to study Yoga, Gymnastics, Parkour, and Break dancing to advance his understanding of Body-Flow™. Examples of his training can be found on his website ExtremeCST.com.

Dani’l plans to begin Sport Fighting competition, in the near future to increase his understanding of Softwork™™.
Coach Chomycia is currently a Bouncer at a local bar, doing research for a future project.

Coach Dani’l Chomycia’s Personal Philosophy:
Be patient with yourself, but don’t rest on your laurels.

Unique, quality experience and talent are worth their weight in gold.

Limiting your options, increases your mortality; Focusing and cycling those options decreases it.

Always appreciate your accomplishments no matter how small, small accomplishments lead to larger ones.

Life should be inspiring, if yours isn’t then change it.
