Hello all,

I would like to invite anyone who is in Chicago to drop by my dojang on July 16 for al little Seminar/Training for Charity (a Chicago Area Hospice center) from 11AM-3PM.

The cost is a whopping $5 - (or any amount over that you would like to drop in the jar) - and all the proceeds go to charity. It is just our small way of giving back to the community. I hope that if any of you will be in Chicago, you will do some Hapkido training with us.

We will have a receipt of donation available the next business day after the event. (Got to keep the accounting honest).

Please feel free to drop me an email if you can come - or even a buck for the charity jar if you can't... :)

Thank you all.

I really wish I could attend as it sounds like alot of fun for a good cause. Please write up a review of the event and grand total earned when you have time.

That's a very nice gesture. Best of luck, and I hope you raise a good amount of $$$ for the hospice.

Hello guys,

Thank you both very much for the kind words. I hope that it will build into a fun monthly event where we can do some good.

Thank you again for the encouragement. That makes my day.

Hello all,

We have had lots of interest in this little venture, and tommorow should be lots of fun.

All the proceeds will go to Horizon Hospice, a local Chicago group that takes care of lots of people that cannot afford such services.

I'll let everyone know how it goes...

Hello all,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to the forum with info. We raised $100 - not bad at $5 a head - and got some donations of medical supplies that added up to quite a bit more. A good day had by all, realy lots of fun - we plan on starting this as a regular event in October.

Thanks for all of your support.
