Greetings.
I was just wondering, as I'm considering taking up Bujinkan Ninpo in the years to come, what sort of arsenal does Bujinkan training include?
I know that the swords (katana and wakizashi), staff, short staff(hanbo), shuriken/stars, spear, jutte, and kusari-gama (as well as a weighted chain who's name I can't recall) are included in the curriculum, but what else does it include?
Particularly, does training include the sai, nunchaku(unlikely), or tonfa?
Thanks.

No...Okinawan weapons are not studied in Japanese budo. Unless of course Hatsumi sensei is feeling randy..

What weapons do you want to train with in ninpo?
What have you got to hand is more of the answer.

Hephaestus,
Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu weaponry is so broad I have
given up trying to know every single weapon that
we use! The moment I think that I know most of
them Soke brings out a totally new weapon (training
tool) and I proceed to attempt to learn them again!
The best thing about Budo Taijutsu is that once
you begin to understand the movement some, you
realize that almost all tools will be treated the same
with just minor variations! It is all in the Taijutsu!

Ray,
You're wrong. Anyone that would state that, I would seriously question if they spent any time at all in a Bujinkan dojo.
jay , genbukan and bujinkan is the same right.. all of it is taijutsu. witch is un armed fighting.. ninjutsu is all broken nowdays..just half of what the art is about " taijutsu " there was no weaponry in my dojo.. and if there was youd have to be a sensai to learn it

Ray...You're so far off track I won't bother to pull you up short..Go do your Koga Ninjer stuff..And enjoy it all!
Man..Taijutsu being impractical....The depths of stupidity in that comment astound me..
