All,
I have a good :) student who will be moving to Greenville, SC in about a year to attend college. Does anyone know of a quality traditionally oriented karate dojo there? Would prefer Goju-Ryu, Shorin-Ryu, or Shito-Ryu dojo if possible. Any assistance is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Roy J. Hobbs

The only one I know anything about is Doug Perry Sensei and he's very good.

The Shorin ryu Shorinkan school under Mr. Perry is probably your best bet. Anyone know where Ridgeley Abele's school is? Maybe Columbia. Also, SC has lots of Ryukyu Kempo (Oyata/Logue). If there is a school close by, I would choose it over the others. Mr. Rousselot would know.

Good traditional schools are getting harder and harder to find these days. Check the links section in my website, if it helps any.

Gene you never cease to amaze me! You know everyone!
You have got to try and come to the Internationl Symposium so I can pay my respects. :toast:
Doug Perry is just down the road from us and should be less than an hour drive from Greenville.
