Hey,

I was wondering if anyone's going to the ITF Impact European cup?

Well............... it looks like blue and red belts are competing in the same category as blacks!!! I personally think this is ridiculous, red/black tags perhaps; but blue belts? Unless a realy god blue belt gets a really cr*p black belt, what chance do they really have?

I'm not saying that a lot of blue belts can't hold there ground; but I do not think this is a fair system at all.

Plus, none of this is on the website, so chances are that not many people will know until its too late.

I wasn't going because I couldn't afford it, but I reckon after this I wouldn't have went anyway.

Hi Gemma
I don't know anything about the European Championships, but it is not uncommon to combine advanced divisions. In some schools, blue belt is considered an advanced belt. One such school in this area only has 4 colored belts - white, yellow, blue and purple.

As you do know about this in advance, it is generally your option to wear a different colored belt. If you are an intermediate student in your school, than wear a green belt to the tournament.

In this area, orange belt is usually the belt that causes trouble. In some schools it is considered a beginner, in other schools it is considered intermediate.

Good luck if you decide to compete. :)
