I have no idea how long this [Pink Sparring Gear by Century] has been out - I just saw it.

Kind of different. Kind of fun. If my daughter was still active, I know she would be bugging me for a set. :)

I had pink gear custom made for Fightgrrl in Thailand.
Kind makes it less special when you can get it here now.

But if you want real gloves and other stuff in pink let us know.
That foam dipped stuff is crap.

Thanks Jeff. I've been noticing a lot of new and snazzy glove designs this year. Two years ago the funky (saw tooth) mouthguards were all the rage. This year it seems to be the wild glove designs.

Andrew, next will be gloves with little kitten prints... :laugh:

The blood on her gloves though they would give them the wrong color would give the right impression. Made to do damage.

For class I use my Pink gloves from Thailand, some purple gloves we sell and the dreaded leopard spotted gloves i got last summer! Can get Zabra and tiger stripe too, and they are nice leather gloves! I have pink and lime green hand wraps (among others!)
Got a cute pink Muay Thai tshirt,too--nothing funnier that a pink t-shirt with a picture of 2 guys kicking each other...


The whole Century catalogue has a marketing towards young teen girls thing going on.
Oddly enough, this is the first year we have had more boys than girls.

Fightgrrl is ALL ABOUT the gear.
She was a Tai Chi student and went to watch a Karate tournament. She grabs me and pulls me to a ring where a guy is doing a Bo form in a hakama and she squeals...."what do I have to learn to wear that".
And so her Budo training began.

You're a little too late. I remember there was this one fighter name Javier "Showtime" Vazquez who would wear pink shorts and gloves to throw off his opponent. He was no joke though. 6 years jiujitsu [he teaches somewhere in CA], and like 8-9 years wrestling. Seems Santa stopped by a little early with a nice pink set of Century sparring gear!!! I actually kind of like it - plus it's just fun to get new gear. My husband kind of screwed his face up when he saw it, declaring I am not "a pink" kind of person. The school owners outfitted all the female instructors with new pink gear this Christmas.
