Good answer, Dennis. Forgot about that one.
I once heard Jet Li say in an interview that he "didn't know how to fight". he only knew Wushu (!). i think he would do okay anyway.
does anyone know the story of him in the Tsunami? apparently he almost lost his son....

We watched them at a shotokan party my teacher hoste, LONG AGO when I was maybe 8 or 9 still remember we ate sushi(for the first time).

Fist of Legend.
I was kinda wracked between that, Twin Warriors, and Wong Fei-Hung, in fact... it's a close one.

Another for Fist of Legend.
Although I gotta say from the trailer for "Fearless" that one looks to smoke everything he's done so far.

What did you guys think of unleased?
I liked the fighting because it seemed to be exactly what a dog of a human would do.
yeah i actually like that movie. i heard bad things about it but loved it once i saw it...felt sorry for the poor guy

Unleashed I thought was great. The way he put all that feeling into his role he did a great job. The begining fight when he just beat the living crap out of the guys like it was nothing I agree with khuko because thats exactly what a dog would do.

Jet Li faves:
1) Fong Sai Yuk. Renamed The Legend in US release DVDs. This is the one where the new governor of canton has a tournament, the winner gets to marry his daughter. Catch is, the young men have to beat the governor's wife, the girl's mum, in kungfu. Much fun ensues including the fight atop a bunch of guys, and the cross-dressing same sex romance between Jet's mum and the girl's mum, both of whom are pretty cute.
2) Swordsmen II. Kinky, kinky, kinky. More cross dressing, caressing of a very large cannon - yes cannon as in boom boom. Brigitte Lin plays male supervillain who has cute concubines. Did I say kinky? Do I hear the patter of your feet running over to the nearest Chinatown? Just order it from Amazon boys. Things uh..peak in East is Red but that movie was too incoherent, no Jet either.
3) Once upon a time in China II for the finale vs. Donnie Yen.
4) Tai chi Master. Boy is Jet Li bad at tai chi!! ties with Fist of Legend.
All directed by Tsui Hark.

I don't take offense that tastes are different. It's hysterically funny in cantonese, try that.

Especially Stephen Chow's movies before Kungfu Hustle!! Boy were they funny and my cantonese is not even good enough to catch the puns.
OK so Jet has this new movie with the Spanish fencer coming out. Any idea when? What is it called?

Shaolin Temple was the best of Jet's flicks.

Im split here, between the scene in Fist of Legend, when he turns the general's own katana against him with his belt, and the end of 'The One' "I, am not your *****, You are mine!" then pan out to Jet Li against an endless stream of fighters.
Twin Warriors is another great one, but it doesnt have any crowning moments like FoL and The One do.

I havent watched many of his movies but definetly liked the fight scenes in Kiss of the dragon. Especially the one where he beats all those police officers in the Police station.

kiss of the dragon was great, showcased a lot of different styles, like when he had to fight the boxer guy.

I just heard from my friend in Asia that he just saw the last Jet Li film, "Fearless". This is based on a real life story of Huo Yun Chia. Has anyone watch this?
