When I was learning kenpo techniques for a while I loved the Perfect Weapon, it was really cool to see some of the techniques i was learning put to use in a movie, and there was that really cool ring he had with the tiger on one side and the dragon on the other.

Jeff Speakman....whatever happened to him??? I LOVE that movie! There was another with him in it that was pretty good too...can't remember the name, but it came out in the early 90's and he was a cop...ect.

I'm sure he's a very nice guy, why?

The Perfect Weapon was a pretty decent action movie. The 1.5 movies of his I saw after that were horrible.

I'm not wild about EPAK as a martial art, and there have been VERY few martial arts movies (maybe none outside of Kurosawa) worth watching.

I honestly cannot remember the last martial arts movie that I watched. Most are low budget crap, bad writing, and even worse acting. I would much rather listen to music and play on the computer during my free time and experience martial arts in the dojo and not on the big screen.

The bottom line for me is that my time is valuable, and I would not waste it on crap hollywood martial arts movies.

I, on the other hand, do enjoy them.
I actually collect them.
But they are fantasy enjoyment for me. I don't equate them to the real thing.
When I watch them my mind is completely shut down to any practicalities of the techniques.
I guess it's the same way I enjoyed cartoons when I was a kid.

Hey, he is the ultimate ninja.
His evasion and hiding techniques are the best I've ever seen.

Ok, there is a limit to what I would collect. :D

There are some more or less realistic fight scenes in non-martial arts movies, though. I thought the scene in Rambo #1 where he is escaping from the police station was believable. I love what he did to the poor ******* bringing in food.

Especially the part where he could go in one door and come out of a completely different room in the opposite direction or when him and Shaggy would climb half way up a rope that wasn't attached to anything at the top!
 Impressive Ninjer Skills!
