WOO HOO!! :D :D :D
Saw the Doctor yesterday and I'm down 41 pounds since October.
That's 2 pant sizes down and I can shop in regular department stores now!!
Ran a few blocks with the dog the other day and managed to keep both lungs inside my body. Both knees remained attached and uninjured.
Very exciting....
Who else wants to brag?
Cheers

Great wock, Chris!!! That's 10 pounds per month for you - very impressive. Well done!
I've been dieting and going to the gym for three weeks. Got nice and weak and caught a nasty cold so I MUST be running a calorie deficit, right?!?! Haven't lost much (if any) weight yet, though. Energy levels are way up, however. It's a start.
Gotta go - it's Saturday so the wife and I are off for a 5-8 mile walk. We combine grocery shopping with hiking. That's on non-gym days.

Thanks Guys! :D
Hope you're feeling better Eric. A 5-8 mile walk is pretty serious. How long does that take you? I walk an 1 to 2 hours a day but have never measured the distance. I'm using a pedometer and averaging 10,000 + steps a day.
Still got some serious weight to go, but its a good start and it feels great.
I'm a long way from feather weight Riku, but thanks for the thought! :)
How's your program going Cliff?
Cheers

Way to go!!!!!!!!!! :)
I'm proud of you, Chris.
On a hike/walk with my wife we average 3.5 miles in an hour. She can hit 4 and I'm slower (if I gave her an 80 lb. - that's our weight difference - pack I'm sure she'd slow down!)
Today is annoying - we ate out on Thursday and did so again today and somehow I've been dizzy-hungry since digesting Thursday's dinner. There is definitely a lingering effect of eating out. Keeps you hungry for days. I don't get it, but I certainly feel it.
So, today, I'm trying to stick to salads again to resume that intertia.
Bodies and metabolisms like ours are tricky things, huh? Lucky Jeff Burger! :D <- (that's green with envy)

I almost made 2.5 mi in 30 min on the treadmill yesterday. No great shakes for many people, but I've never been a runner, and have only been doing it for the last few months. Tomorrow I'm gonna run 3.1 mi [5 K]...I'll give myself 40 minutes but I hope to finish sooner than that. By March 31 I'm hoping to do the 5 K in 30 min....

I think the foods you eat in restaruant are often full of sodium and sugar that leave you feeling empty afterwards. I'm trying to stick to Salads and stir fries when I eat out.
Metabolism? That's that thing that tells your body to burn calories right? I lost mine sometime in the early eighties... ;)

Sounds like you are coming along fine on that! The adrenaline will play a part in it and you'll probably do even better on the run. Good luck on that race! And tell us how it comes out.
I just completed a 5k race today (for the first time in...forever it seems). Did a 10k last weekend so it was just for training. But it kicked my partner and my butts either way. :p
