Well its earlier than I had wanted. I was hoping end of April.
Its an amateur tournment but there is a possibility for profights afterwards.
Its perfect to have 1 last amateur fight before doing something pro.

To compete in Rajadnamdern would be like a baseball fan playing at Fenway Park.

Good Luck!

Is it true that one night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble?

I will video tape it. BUT if I get knocked out in the first round no one will ever see that tape.
If I at least do well Ill show the video.

Keep in mind I have more than enough obsticles to over come here.
#1 I pretty much took the last 2 years off to run a school.

#2 Im 38 not old but old in this sport.

#3 Its sooner than I wanted.

#4 This is their sport ( think American Olympic Basketball team vs say...Singapore)

One of the reasons it was looking there might be no fight is because Im not up to par with the pros here and people dont want to fight unless its for money.
Im not about to fight a 24 year old pro with 150 pro fights.

Im feeling some comfort in my coaching though. I have coaches that were all former champions. I have 2 guys my size and one bigger to spar with. The bigger guy was heavy weight champ 1 still fights pro and has a fight in a couple of weeks. The other retired from competition cause he just doesnt need the money.
They are all young guys too. The teachers are great but some are up there in age or I have a big size advantage so sparring with them is just not the same.

I believe that song is still illegal here.
I would not have known what a night in Bangkok was until last weekend. I come for training and do little sight seeing. One of the reasons I like this school is there is nothing else to do here...no ditractions.
A friend I trained with in China is here in Thailand, staying in Bangkok with his girl. Last weekend I went into Bangkok to do some sight seeing and we stayed out all day until almost 3am.
To answer your question... YES.
I think most westerners would be pretty shocked and probably scared. Some it really pissed me off.
Id like every American to vist some place with truly harsh conditions (Phillipines, China, India...) to help them appreciate what we have there.

I've had the opportunity to do some traveling with the Army, so not much surpirses me anymore.

Again, good luck with the fight.

Do you by chance know of any MT teachers in Nebraska? I have always wanted to try MT, but I've never found anyone who teaches here. I know there are no schools (at least none that I can find with extensive searching).
