Looks like some homey ate his stash to keep it from the cops, then flipped out when it hit bottom.

I didn't see any muay thai in that scene. I don't know whether the one guy was doing capoeira or just kung fu movie acrobatics.

Yeah, it was capoeira. Don't know what the other guy was doing, might be some kinda kung fu, but the one guy was definately doing capoeira. While I've never practiced it, I went through a while where I was completely obsessed with capoeira. So... yeah. The movements and attacks fit.

Sweet vid though. Say what you will about the possible effectiveness of capoeira, it is cool as heck to watch...

Tony Jaa is known for Muy Thai in his first movie Ong Bak.

In this case it appers he adapted so he wasn't doing strictly Muy Thai excpet for the occasional jumping knee strikes.

Picky, picky, picky.... :D

Next time I'll just say, "Hey look a cool movie trailer!"

Since Tony Jaa is known for that, I figured that's what he was doing.

definitely capoeira
BTW - Jeff already has a copy of this film (got in Thailand) and raves about it practically daily.
It will be out here as Ong Bak II probably

I don't know what they are calling it in the movie but it looks like good Hapkido to me

Tony Jaa does Muay Boran not Muay Thai.

I loved Ong Bak. It's definitely in my top 5. I didn't know there was a name for what Tony Jaa was doing. I just figured it was Muay Thai dressed up with some movie fu. I like the Chuck's, too.

BTW, I love it when people fight in the movies and they stand there and wait for the other guy to get up after he's been knocked down.

The flick is called Tom Yum Goong and yeah I have it.

Yeah he does do alot of traditional Muay Thai insoired moves.

There is a really big guy it (7ft), came to this school for a bit. I got a pic with, I look like a little kid.
He is also in Jet Li's latest flick "Fearless". This movie sucks so bad I gave it away after watching it.

Tony Jaa's original style is Muay Boran, he used it often in Ong Bak. Many people think of it as Muay Thai, this is because both arts are quiete similiar.
