Is is true that after 3rd dan, you are allowed to specialize in ONE ryu? Why not more than one or multiple ryu? Any information would be most helpful. Thanks! :D

this is a special gift to select students, as far as I know the rya is selected by soke depending which one suits you the best.
I may be wrong but this is what I heard, I am too low a rank to worry about this at this time.
