Mine has got to be the Keith Hackney vs Gracie fight in UFC 4. That was a very good fight for the old days. Hackney was fairly dominant in that fight before Royce slapped on the submission. I also liked the BEATDOWN he gave Yarbourough...that was fun to see happen when it did....then the Joe Son nut cracking!

What was some of your favorite "Old School" UFC moments?

Probably the first time Royce fought Shamrock. I was not expecting that outcome.

In UFC 7, the championship match between Marco Ruas and Varlanes.

First was Royce's triangle choke on Severn at UFC 4. I thought Royce was just getting worked over for 15 minutes and pulled out the submission and no one even knew what it was.

I also liked Tank's frist KO on Matua at UFC 6. That was the first time I (and I think alot of people) saw a REAL knock out.

Hands down UFC 4, Keith Hackney vs. Joe Son. Nothing ends a fight quite like getting choked-out after 9-straight shots to the nuts.

My favorite old school UFC moments were not the fighters at all.
It was the commentators. "Well, it appears this fight is over. You never want to be on the bottom during the fight, and it shows here folks. Wait, why is (so and so) tapping out? What is (so and so) doing with his legs?"

Yeah, they've came a long way with commentating Dennis. Rogan gets a little bashed here and there, but man, overall I think he does a very good job....especially when you compare him with the guys back then....Jeff Blatnik and Don Wilson was it?

I don't think it can be worse than Jim Brown saying, "I didn't know you can tap with your feet."

Mine is Oleg Taktarov's rolling kneebar on Dave Beneteau(sp). Or was it Guy Mezger? UFC 6 I thnk. Anyway, that submission was what got me interested in Sambo.
