Hi.
We have a few on our federation homepage: www.shorinji-kempo.org (Direct link to video clip section (http://www.shorinji-kempo.org/videoclip/videoclip_e.html))
Here are some other clips from the UK south cost branches page:

I am sure others can give you more.

Just curious, but I checked out some of the videos under the Swedish National Embukai 2004 in Stockholm - it looked like staged fighting. Is this designed as a demonstration? Is there such a thing as SK free sparring, contact or otherwise?
Just do a search on YouTube and Google Video.

Never mind, I just saw the answer on your webpage.

Just for the sake of clarity, we do not do competitive fighting and yes we do practice randori and free sparring but only for the purposes of self-defense. The "stage fighting" you referred to is called Embu and it used not only as a means to strengthen skills but also as means to demonstrate cooperation and developing character.
Thanks for the links. Shorinji looks like it can be pretty devastating. I also like the internal aspect of the art. I wish we had a school in my area so I could check it out more closely.

Andy, where abouts are you located? Sometimes giving a shout out on the internet can provide unexpected results...

What is your area?
I live in the Sacramento Area. California. If I’m not mistaken, the closest school is in San Francisco.

You would be surprised. For example, officially there are no branches in Boston or Philadelphia but there are black belts who are conducting smaller classes so that they can continue their training. The reason these are not branches is because they have not met all the requirements. Usually these classes are sponsored by an official branch. Keep in mind that Shorinji Kempo is highly organized with very strict requirements on who can open a branch.
Anyway the point is to contact the San Francisco branch and see if they are aware of anything near your area.
Thanks Raul. I'll check it out.
