Im going to close this thread. Why?
Because you can? In general closing a thread is bad form. Nobody was out of hand or really insulting except you, which is fascinating. While I have been insulted, my shifu was insulted "dupe," "geek," or "dork," and star trek convention, D&D, lol this means nothing to me so I am fine with it. The real reason I would wager is because you have been unable to provide proof of your accusations that all Shaolin monks are PRC fabrications. Instead you lodge non sequitors. And yes I do enjoy the word fallacious because I enjoy logic, something you are not very familiar with I'd guess.
For the record I do not make any money off of Shaolin. I was in China for about a month, in fact I returned on Sept 11- the day the Towers were attacked.
Our temple is not a business. We accept many students free of charge in community outreach programs, train a lot of groups for free, etc. I don't suppose you would find that happening if we were the lecherous money grabbers you portray. If you want to see abuse go to Henan and USSD.

The PRC controls all religion in China .
And how exactly does this mean that they re-invented Shaolin. Another non-sequitor. Am I safe in concluding that it is your opinion that ALL Buddhist monks in China are fabrications of the PRC?
And now we are expected to believe that the PRC PR dept invented Ch'an Buddhism?
It's a half truth, and in any case we are not in China, neither was Yan Chang when he became abbot at the Pike st Temple so how do you explain him...in fact you can not explain him so you may as well punk out and close this thread too.
I hope you and all your friends will still be coming in September.
I would like to see you produce someone who would claim Shi Su Xi, or any of the monks I mentioned by name, are a fabrication and their proof of such claim. This should be simple.
If Kurt wants he can go to Anhui and see for himself where and who under Xing Zhen took his vows.
