View Full Version : Fukasa-Ryu Bujutsu Kai ???
Hi.
I came across these folks.
And I would like some Input..
By the way. He started teaching in a new location, and is free there, just last week he started.
But it's not the whole thing, it's only Fukasa Shorin-ryu Karate-do is free.

Hi there,
My only word of advice to you is be careful.
I am not casting any assumtions here, but from the way I look at things, I am always susspitious of any one man who claims to have studied to a dan rank in several (let alone one) classical art.
This is for several reasons, which I will not go into at this point (send a Private Message if you want...).
But to be soke of this Fukasa ryu...
Well, if he has studied and now founded his own school, then fair enough, he should be considered soke (or someother title, but these tend to be longer words :)). But if he has been awarded soke-ship of a classical school. Well frankly I would not beleve him.
I must confess, I have heard of the Fudo Ryu, Fudoshin Ryu and Fukono Ryu, but never Fukasa ryu.
So my stab in the dark with this is that he has basically had enough of the politics in the world of budo and has founded his own ryu.
Like I said, just a guess.
But this is not to say he isn't any good. Infact, I would consider him to be head and shoulders above the rest in attitude and respect. So have a look, even go so far as to have a go. You never know he might be a really nice bloke who you may be friends with in years to come :D
But like I said, be careful, be aware.
Good luck,
Lawrence.
Thanks for Your Input
It was really helpful...
I appreciate your help & time.
:D :)

Hi. Nice to meet you.
I will check this Fukasa-Kai training tomorrow.
Please private message me so we can talk w/o problems.
I didn't get to check out the Fukasa-Kai on Monday because I was in New Jersey in my godfather's member's day at his JOb. in a golf course.
Although, I got the Fukasa-Kai new site.
Much better
Fukasa-Kai (http://www.fukasa.fieldsfamily.net/index.php)
You can also type www.fukasakai.com it has been updated, but it get's down sometimes.
This http://www.fukasa.fieldsfamily.net/index.php the link I posted is always working. Hope to hear from more people. :)
These guys received much of what they do from Juko kai. They talk about dai yoshin ryu aikijujutsu, which has proven to be a fake aiki style. Any connection to juko kai is bad news and should send big red flags.
