Non WSKO "Shorinji Kempo"?

I heard that former students of Doshin So, who opened their own dojos didn`t join the WSKO.
What were the reasons?
Did/do they train Shorinji Kempo under a different name?
Where are such dojos?

Perhaps because they didn't want to be a part of a "bigger thing" ... but I don't know. :shrug:
