Tommy Morrison Back?!

I stumbled upon some Tommy Morrison links in a totally unconnected way. I had forgotten all about this guy since he "tested positive" for HIV.

Now I'm seeing controversy as to whether he was ever HIV positive? And on top of that, he's had a comeback fight this year, as well as an MMA (albeit, in name only) fight last month?!

Anyone know more about this story? What's really going on with this guy and the boxing world?

Does anyone have a take on his HIV status? I've seen the gamut in opinions from: the guy received a false positive, he was exposed to HIV antibodies but possibly not the virus itself, his HIV has fallen to undetectable levels, etc.

Depending on the reality... this guy was either robbed out of millions from a false positive, or, as Cliff has stated, he's a ticking time bomb for anyone who steps into a boxing ring with him.

Well, his career wasn't really in the greatest place at the time, so I'm not sure he would've won millions anyway. He had just been thoroughly thumped by Lennox Lewis and already been knocked out twice before that. Tyson was just about to get knocked out by Holyfield, and those were the only sweepstakes he could've hoped for. His best win was outpointing Foreman in 1993, and then got crushed by Michael Bentt in his next fight. He never quite accomplished anything close to the Foreman fight again.
