Hey everyone I'm looking for some new matts for our branch and just want your feed back on what I should maybe get. Keep this in mind that these matts when I use them have to be removed at the end of the class so other people can use the class room.
Also I was sorta leaning towards the puzzle matts but would like to hear some suggestions if there is something better out there. Money is not an issue here cause it is all furnish by the city. :D
Thanks
Aaron

Swain Flexi rolls. They are soft enough for Judo but great for TKD also. They are also easy to pick up. You might need some mat tape to keep more two together though.

The Swain flexi-rolls are actually made by Dollamur http://www.dollamur.com/
You can get them in tatami texture or smooth vinyl.
I give a big no vote for puzzle mats. They are a pain to put down and pick up. If not the flexi-roll then try some regular fold up mats with velcro on all sides.
No matter what you get, they are all expensive.

I have so much fun putting our puzzle mats together before class. It exercises the brain!
Sarcasm aside though, some of the mats get a little warped and beaten in the process of storing and packing them away after each lesson so they don't fit together as well anymore.
Hope you can get swain flexi rolls in Australia....

Another big NO vote on the puzzle mats, especially if you have to put them down and take them up all the time.
The Flex-Roll is top notch.
Puzzle mats come covered with a slippery substance (perhaps teflon?) perhaps to keep them from gluing themselves together in the warehouse.
It is extremely slippery and gets on your feet. It is hard to wash off and is a pain.

So true.
Aaron, I did a review of the Swain/Dollamur flexi-roll mats, it might help...http://www.budoseek.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=17740
