To all kempo/kenpo students, why do you train in this art?

For me, it is the simplicity of each movement that will take a lifetime to master.

Kempo is practical and effective.

It kills the ego, very effectively.

It provides a platform that is inclusive not exclusive.

Kempo will tailor itself to the student as long as the student commits themselves to learning and embracing this art.

I look forward to your responses.

Thank you.

Mostly because it was the most realistic school I could find that was within a reasonable driving distance. I like the way we train, and I like that there are plenty of younger, faster people I can train with.

I've trained in other arts but find American Kenpo to be one of the most practical self defense arts out there. Regardless of age shape or size you can become very good at Kenpo.

The style of Kempo I have studied is very efficient. The moves are effective. I have blended some other very good styles, principles and concepts with it and it fits seamlessly. Kempo as I see it conforms to the practitioner, not the practitioner to Kempo.
