Has anyone heard of a kung fu style called pai lum? My sifu was learned that style, but when he split from that style he and his 'bro' made up another style which is what I do now. Long Men Jia Quan.

A google search reveals that lots of articles on the style are available on the internet.

Set aside some time to read them, because there seems to be several varying accounts on the art's history.

A style that your sifu and his brother made up?
That question was rhetorical.

I know it was a rhetorical question Dennis but I will tell you something about it any way.
Long Men Jai Quan was developted and is still a martial art. The style is just different from Pai Lum but very real, not just a style that is made up from thin air.

I studied Pai Lum for a short time in Southern Arizona. As it was presented to me, it was a combination of animal styles...

You don't really do them much justice to state "he and his 'bro' made up another style" when discussing them. That throws up red flags for everyone.
We have had quite a few kool aid drinking followers of self styled super sokes, sifus and Ultimate Grand Masters come here. Not saying that your sifus are of that ilk.

Lily, a web search for Pai Lum, should take you to a link for a Wikipedia piece on Pai Lum, which is pretty detailed.
