If so, thoughts on the piece?

Nah... my .22 Mags are rifles.

I used to have the .22 LR version many years ago. I used to carry it in my pocket as a back up but I eventually grew out of it. It's one of those things that is better than having nothing at all, but if you are actually going to go to the trouble of carrying a gun you can do much better. I know some officers that carry it as 3rd gun.

:bow:I haven't fired it personally, but a good friend of mine has one and is very happy with it. It's intended purpose for him is , as stated, a "better than nothing" back up gun. It conceals well in a pocket. I would likely buy one as a back up, but my department sets minimum caliber for that purpose as a .380. If I'm going to carry a .380, I may as well carry my Kimber ultra .45::wink2::bow:

I like the way you think...
However lately I have been guilty of grabbing just my Ruger .380 (I do carry two spare mags a knife though :) ).

:bow:Clif, that little Ruger is a really tempting package and would make a great concealment pistol. I've gauked at it, handled it a few times at the gun store, but haven't dropped the cash. Part of that is the ammo is still very scarse and expensive.

Thanks all.
BTW, I met a gold panner who carried the black powder version of this loaded with shot instead of a ball to use against rattlesnakes if surprised. Can't carry a stick while panning, I guess. When he left the water and ended up where he knew snakes may be, he had it at the ready (between and on rocks and fallen timber or tall grass). Don't know how he kept his powder dry. For the real stuff, he was a 30-06 man. :wink2:
