This is a demonstration, so there is no promoting going on (as a group). That doesn't mean that participation in the event won't lead to promotion for some groups, just not at this event as a community.
Those are the staff seats for the demonstration, Group leaders and visitors. The leaders and visitors are stage right of the Kami-za/Kamidana (which you cannot see here) which is directly in the center, so the head seats go stage left (in this case, farther away from the door), and then visitors farther down (where I was filming from).
