Since the quick reply option was removed it seems that you can't hyperlink to text without typing it manually, like this:
test (http://www.google.com)
All you can do with the link button is type a link (which you might as well just type in the text field of the message):
http://www.google.com
Am I missing something here? It's a minor thing, but I got so used to it.

Hmm, I have not had any problems with linking text. I have discovered that you can type your text by highlighting the text (http://www.google.com) to be linked, then clicking the "insert link" button. Once you insert your URL into the text box and click OK, it will put the link around the highlighted text for you.

Cool, seems you can do that; that's a new trick I learned. What I meant was before if you clicked the 'insert link' icon you got a box asking for the link and then another asking for the text to attach the hyperlink to.
Now you just get this one, and the link you type in what you get - it just puts the URL in your message:

Hmm, I thought the two dialog box thing had gone the way of the dinosaur with this version of vBulletin. I just reenabled quick edit and still no two dialog boxes.
Also, how do you get rid of this stuff on the left of the screen - Sections, Blog entries, CMS articles? Seems like there was an arrow to return the thread to full size and now it doesn't seem to be there.
I am playing around with the feature this morning and turned off the collapse arrow. Back on now. :)

Could be me, maybe I'm thinking back to the old version. The highlighting method is much better anyway. Thanks Robert.
