Hello everyone. This is my first time on a forum. I am new to the electronic world. Please bare with me.

I have been studing Isshin-ryu Karate since 1961. I have seen many changes in the MA world during my career and I decided to enter the 21st century and try out a forum. Yours had been recomended to me.

I'm looking forward to all disscussions.

Greetings Harold. Welcome to the forum.

Forums are an acquired taste for some people. You might think it is all a waste of time to talk about stuff when you should be training... and in many ways that is absolutely true. However, nobody trains 24/7 and there are some things that can benefit from a little discussion and we can all learn something from each other. I like to think of forums like this as a friendly chat after training. A gathering of like minds, in a friendly environment (like a bar :) ) just chewing the fat and talking about stuff. Occasionally these conversations will be informative, sometimes useless, but usually entertaining.

There are quite a few forums that discuss martial arts. This one has a comparatively older readership, with more experience in the arts and a more mature attitude than most. I hope it is to your taste.

I took Isshinryu in my junior high and high school years up to 3rd degree brown belt. Now I take Kyokushin and trying Jujutsu at school!
