I want to get right out there that I am a fan of WAPF even though they need to be more discriminatory towards the alternative medicine which they espouse. Most of what you find there is evidence-based and thoroughly researched.

That being said, Chris Masterjohn does, IMHO, a pretty deep and well-cited review of Joel Fuhrman's diet book "Eat to Live", which (in case you haven't watched "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" yet) is the fundamental underlying theory behind the diet used in the movie. He does a far better job than I articulating the problems with an all-vegetable diet.

I started this thread so as to keep from further derailing Cliff's thread--it should remain unsullied in case he chooses to continue updating it with his progress.
