I just wanted to let everyone know that Tang Soo Do United site has had a major overhaul. Hopefully making it more "user-friendly" with more information and even an improved guestbook features.

It has taken me several weeks to get it up-to-date, and I hope you will take a few minutes to take a look and hopefully sign the register.

Thanks

I thought I would let everyone know that the forms page that I had up on TSDU has now been redone. (Working on the completion, and all of them should be up within a week as it takes time to do inline frames.)

As of now I have all the Kicho forms on there - if you can take a look and let me know what you think of how the page is presented now. It has 2 options 1) if you want to watch it in the viewer you can left click on one or 2) if you are on a slow dial up you can right click and choose save target as...

Your martial arts expertise is appreciated..

Thanks

Hello Pale Rider,

Your web site is great!

I enjoyed the video on the hyungs and your terminology section is well taught out.

I wish you great success and please keep us or at least me – updated in regards to how your dojang is doing.

I just wanted to report that my "dojang" is running rather slow at this moment, that is why I am focusing on putting information not only on the net, but also on other forms of media as well - such as vhs, vcd, dvd etc.. One of my students has now "newer and more important" responsiblities that she must face, so I must turn my focus on when the warmer weather finally settles in. I do hope that somewhere, sometime down the line someone says to me - "Thank you for sharing your information and knowledge. It came in handy.." - you know??

Which dojang would this be. The one in your kitchen or the one in your living room?

Which dojang would this be. The one in your kitchen or the one in your living room?

To me a "dojang" is a place where you train - regardless if it is in your living room, kitchen or even in an outhouse (if you train in one.. lol). It isn't the locale that makes the dojang - it is the information that is passed on. The knowledge that can be obtained doesn't look at appearance. I remember my training at times to be anywhere we could find to train at. Sometimes that was simply at a University's courtyard, and I myself have trained students at local parks. Is it the place that determines how well a student is trained? Or is it the dedication and persistance in the teaching and learning that makes the student?

So until the warmer weather actually gets here - yes it will be in my living room, and maybe when more students enroll I can get a place where we can all train in a "more suitable" environment.

Thank you for you inquiry

Hmmmm. Interesting point of view. But if you taught in an outhouse...at least for you...wouldn't that be like preaching to the choir?

Pale Rider

Preaching to the choir? Who would be considering doing that?

Funny "Teacher" - I haven't seen any of your posts through out all of Budoseek and you strictly come in here to harass me?

I find that not only odd and strange - but the simple fact is that it seems that you use another ID but have made up one just to antagonize me.

I would ask you if you are going to make posts - please refrain from strictly condemning people over what you may consider a different lifestyle.

Not all of us can afford nice dojangs..

But we practice still the same. That is the beauty of Martial Arts is that it isn't just restricted to the rich..

I have to realize that not everyone will have a mature way of approaching anything. That their only desires are to not only intimadate and ridicule but to condemn others.

I have found a way to ignore "Teacher" for he has not made any other posts except to ridicule mine.

Thanks Teacher - for you are the only one on that list..

Hello Pale Riders,

Replies similar to that of Teachers, is why I have started a thread asking what are the demographics of those that participate on this forum.

I enjoy an intelligent humorous response, even when I am part of the joke.

I do not enjoy sophomoric attempts at humor or attempts at personal attacks when this type of communication is utilize. It is to easy to be obnoxious and have no consequences for your actions on a forum like this.

So, Pale Rider, just ignore comments like those from teacher.

The majority of quality MA cannot be found at the local strip malls but in local backyard Dojangs.

Good Luck

Ms. Wells,
I think if you were to check you would find that Teacher is John Hand****.
He has been dogging Mr. Richards for a long time, for reasons I'm not sure of.

Butch,

Why do you think that?

Ok, I looked at his profile, and believe you are right. I have suspended his account for five days in order to give Mr. Carver the opportunity to make a determination if he will re-allow this individual to join us. Based on his immature actions I doubt it, but if Mr. Carver still has the IP information on JH he will also be able to determine if it is the same person. I'll get back to you on it.

Ok after looking into this further, we will be permanently banning teacher. Mr. Carver made his decision and I support and stand behind it. Banned is banned.

Let's move forward now.

Since this particular thread was about the TSDU site, let me stay on this topic for the moment - TSDU has now had a face lift on it's forum....

Some of you may have seen the older forum, and I hope that you take a few minutes to check out the new one...

Tang Soo Do United Forum (http://users.boardnation.com/~tangsoodounited)

I hope to see some of you there as well... small board for now, but hopefully we will grow into a larger forum...

Thanks again

Bill,

You are starting to move into the area of spamming. Advertisements must be placed in the appropriate section of the website.

Thanks,

Master Clay,

I didn't know there was any special area that I had to post it in. I knew I had already started this thread awhile ago and since it was on the same subject, I thought it would be appopriate if I kept it here.

Sorry for the inconvenience

I want to make sure that I state that I am not trying to spam anything.
TSDU's Open Forum was down for a few days due to some "technical" errors, and it now seems like Boardnation has it fixed so it is now operational.

Sorry for the inconvenience
and thank you for your time.

Again, since this is in the context and thread - I just wanted to make sure to let everyone know that the site, and the forum have both been seriously upgraded. I am just trying to make sure that as much information as possible is placed up on the site and forum.
