Quality Weapons

Hello all, I'm a new student to the Budo Arts and I'm looking to get some quality wooden training weapons. I've come across only two companies in my searches so far 1- Bear Wood Products and 2- Bu jin Design. Are there any others out there? Any help given is much appreciated.

Hi and welcome, Bu Jun design is probably one of the best,obviously their prices reflect this.If you don't care for them you could try Sei Do Kai out of Canada or possibly Bugei Trading Company out of California. There is probably a million and one different weapons companys out there, but these are the only two I have personal experiance with, just watch out for cheap wide grain wooden weapons made in China,as they tend to splinter or crack easily,not very safe!!Good luck in your search!

hi Regulus, i train in aikido and also use wooden weapons such as the bokken and jo, and i came across a website link www.misogi.com.au when i was browsing through aikido journal. and they have some nice looking weapons, at a good price to, and you can also get these kanji letters inscribed on the weapon which look pretty nice.
