Just wondering what some of the strangest forms(aesetically) you've ever seen are ;) For me it'd have to be a tie between the Duck style form from the "This Is Kungfu" vcd, and Emei Taiji Quan(looked like Yang taiji quan with some odd gyrations going on :P).

Yeah I've got that DVD & that's one of the stranger ones to be sure.
The wushu "Shaolin Scorpian" or "Shaolin Frog" you see on the roving tours are pretty funny.
Saw one gal (I think) on a Chinese National Wushu comp doing "something" with a ring that resembled a Wing Chun ring except she was jumping all through it & stuff like that.

Nah now the coolest thing I've seen lately is my Sigung doing Hung Sing Choy Lee Fut's 5 Animal 8 Trigrams....
Before that was my sifu doing Hung Sing Choy Lee Fut Ping Kune at pretty close to full speed (He's 6'2" 250 Lbs)...
Before that was my last sifu doing Swimming Dragon Bagua at pretty close to full speed (He's 6'2" 230 Lbs)...
Before that was Zhao Chang jun's teacher in Xian doing Element & Animal Linkage from Xingyi. There were kids that had been at that school for 10 years that I talked & said they'd never seen him move before. Just walk around & correct postures when doing the traditional Zha Quan sets of Tan Tui set...
Before that was Hatsumi Sensei of the Bujinkan in person....

Mark... not just yet. We'll be getting video transferred off tape to a net format shortly, but it's gonna be a little bit.
In the meantime, you can see a clip of my Sigung at work here (http://www.joybotsin.com/Video%20Clips/Preview%20Clips/Left%20Right%20Preview%20Clips/Left%20Right%20Shooting%20Snake%20Trailer.mov). He's the little short guy...

I had a great video with practically every form under the sun and a really over enthusiastic sound man adding more wooshes than was really necessary...the 'dog style' (please don't laugh) was quite amusing expecially the c0cking the leg bit.....I do often wonder if the Chinese are really taking the mick out of us......
any of the weapons forms are cool...

One of the craziest forms I've ever seen was a girl who couldn't have been much more than 12 years old doing dual chain whips. I still don't know how she did some of that without putting one through her skull.
