Good thing, too, otherwise copy protection might be too hard to get around :)

I was a pretty angry and violent in my youth. Not fueling it with things like angry music actaully seemed to help.
I didnt like Metallica at first. I just hated all these bands that had the evil / demon / darkness twist to things. Just seemed like a lot of angry dorks listened to them.
There was this one Metallica t-shirt that had demon skulls and such on it. I clotheslined a kid off his bike in high school just cause I didnt like his shirt
(kind of gives you an idea of my attitude at the time).
I did end up liking them some years later but still didnt like the dark twist of it.
Rage was my fuel for alot of my early MAs training. But there came a point when I realized it wasnt serving me and I just didnt want to be angry any more.
May sound corny but love of the arts was a better fuel than being angry at the world but thats what I replaced the rage with.
Maybe is has hurt my MA as I just dont get into fights anymore and that does hurt how I train. But Im also alive and not in jail.

"You did have issues! "
Did??? You make it sound so past tense.
I defintaley mellowed out alot. When I moved out of the city as a teenager I was in a much nicer environment but still had the fighty attitude.
You know that old saying ..."you can take the kid out of the projects but you cant take the projects out of the kid".
I dont think they will soon forget when the Burger Clan came to their little town.
Then one day it just hit me that it wasnt serving me anymore and I just didnt want to be angry.
Im still not running around like Stimpy singing Happy Happy Joy Joy yet though.
I do alot better mentally and I control myself physical.
Which is kind of a shame cause there are alot of people they need to get slapped.

What about Master of Puppets? That came after Ride the Lightning, and it was good too!

But you can't beat Kill 'em All!
Mind you, I quite like the Black album with bonus track, So What

I've always preferred Rob Zombie/White Zombie to get jacked up for performance time ...
Nothing like a little Hell Music... but with a beat you can groove to...
Yea, that hardcore stuff can get your blood boilin'. Glad to see you refocused your energy Jeff.
I'm a big fan of Metalica and Rage Against the Machine when I train. Also, there's something to be said for the Rocky Soundtrack (Not to be confused with the Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack - that doesn't work for me).

Some band names crack me up. Take Def Leppard... maybe I should start a hair band and call it Blind Zebra or Palsy Giraffe.
But if you need a fight song you cant beat.....
Marvin Gaye's "Lets Get It On"

Long hair yes, hippie NO WAY.
Grungy wanna-be hippy slackers is the reason I cut my my hair.

:) Just pokin' ya in the ribs! :t2:
If it wasn't for I don't want to scare you guys. I would post a picture of me with an afro.
I love those pictures of my Dad and uncles in the 70's,sportin the big fro's and plaid leisure suits! I had long hair at one time, also. I had to cut it off, though. Square shaped heads and ponytails don't mix!
On the music note...Metallica is done, sorry I love them, too, but Godsmack is much better! :D

Yeah, a fairly hardcore band who's lead singer, Sully, is proud to be a "High Priest" in the Wiccan religion. I can't say I care for them very much.
Because of the "wicca priest" part? Or you just don't like their music? Not to start a "religion" thing,I don't care...just curious. :D

Actually some of their songs have a decent rythm. I am turned off by the Wiccan priest thing. I also don't want to get into the whole religious debate thing here. One of my alltime favorite bands used to be Pantera. Their old lead singer Phil Anselmo has turned into a 100% satanic nutjob. I can't even hardly listen to the old CD's anymore.
Wow,,Pantera. Now that is a band you don't hear mentioned every day! I knew that Anselmo was weird, but he finally went off the deep end, huh!?
I wonder why it is so hard for bands like that to keep their "interests" out of the way of their music? The same could be said for a ton of bands/performers..Slayer(they never really tried to hide it  ) Ozzy,Black Sabbath,Alice Cooper,etc...do you think it might be just a "marketing ploy" like...."Hey kids, your parents hate us,so we MUST be cool!" :D
Whatever flops your mop,I guess.

It's funny you mention Alice Cooper. Apparently most of his wildness was either an act or is all in his past. My friend just moved back from Phoenix, Az. He said that Alice Cooper has a restaraunt there, teaches sunday school at a local Baptist church and (I knew this already) is an extremely avid golfer. Hard to believe from a guy with such hits as Billion Dollar Babies and Welcome To My Nightmare.
I won't even talk about bands like Slayer.
Here is my impression of Ozzy typing:
fgjag hjog agfh aa fgah , bloody fno fifh fihiowiewiwo, Sharon, what the hell? fndfjofjcljkf wiefh ieofh damn dogs. :D
 Nice work!
How bizzare is that? Alice teaching Sunday school....whoa.

Pantera is broken up now. Have you heard of Damage plan? It's all the members of Pantera minus Phil. Their music is great, but I'm not a huge fan of the lead singer, I don't like the way he screams.

It's bound to happen to everyone eventually. I listened almost entirely to Metal through high school, now the only stuff I listen to are my old albums. I'm more a punk rock guy now, but I can see my tastes slowly slip from the hardcore screaming to the slightly lighter stuff a little each day.
I still listen to a lot of old Metallica, Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, etc...
Iron Maiden still rocks though.

There is a recent commercial for back to school supplies (Staples I think).
You see this goth looking schol aged girl looking all poutty while a parent is tossing school supplies into a cart. In the background you here a musak version of Alice Cooper's "School is out for summer".
Then she says "you said school is out for ever"the parent turns around and its Alice Cooper and he says "no I said school is out for summer".
Even in my rage days I still liked Elvis, The Beatles, classical, 50's...
I always hated that demonic worship angle to metal.
Nowadays I hate some of the gansta rap. That whole Im crazy dangerous cause Im stupid enough to shoot you over anything crap.
I see so many kids doing all this hard guy posturing and posing garbage. Its like they are auditioning for a rap video.
Basically a bunch of punks all bluffing toughness so nobody will mess with them. Some carry guns, far less for actual protection and more to impress their friends. They play some gangsta wannabe role and then end up in jail with no stuff behind their fluff.

Except that I hate *all* rap and hip hop. My kids listen to it, but I cant stand it.

My newest favorite band is "The 5,6,7,8s".
If you dont own Kill Bill on DVD get it. They are the band that plays at the Japanese night club.
The DVD has a couple more songs on it.
Dont know how to describe them.
Surfer punk rock-a-billy? Motown
Jeff
Heck yeah,Jeff! If you like the "rockabilly" and "southern swing" kinda mix,try Social Distortion for the rockabilly and the Mavericks for southern swing, phenomonal music.
