Hey folks

I asked this within a thread and I think I asked it in the wrong area so Im trying here. Probably shouldve started a clean thread for it.

It was referred on that thread, a gun carrier could be anyone, which Im aware of but I thought it was a great point.

What are the gun carrying stats within a big city? Small city? Town? Anywhere else? By that I mean, from what I heard and Im probably incorrect, that 6 out of 10 carry a gun in their car or on their person. I suppose this stat is a general one as in the carrier could be law-abiding or criminal, no? Wanted to see some accurate info and any opinions on this.

6 out of 10!!!! That seems pretty high.
Maybe it balances out from the people who own more than 1 gun.

You probably know its harder to own a gun here in Mass. Even harder if your in the city.

As to guns, only 1 - 4% of a given state's population gets a permit to carry concealed according to the Liberty Institute. Of course, this doesn't take into account the legion of those that carry without a permit. The total number of gun owners is hard to say, but it has been estimated at 80,000,000 in the U.S., and you can count on the fact that quite a number of these carry, permit or no permit. It is ludicrous to assume that you can tell who is definately not armed.

I thought it might get overlooked on that thread, a thanks to Soulend for throwing in some info on the subject. :wink2:

Yea it is! I cant figure that out, ton of weird laws here. Probably just as well though, Im not too positive on owning one myself. Always wanted to get to the range though and give it a try, or take a lesson or two for basic knowledge.
