The Gift Of Fear
by Gavin DeBecker

This is not a book about MA. For those of you interested in self-defense, you might find this book useful. It delves into the psychology of violent behaviour and helps you identify those with the potential to commit violent acts before they commit them. I'm very interested in criminology as well as psychology so I really enjoyed this book. Not sure if everyone here would but hey, if it can help you avoid potentially dangerous situations it's worth checking out at your local library.

Always & Forever,

mods: I humbly appologize for not posting this in the Media Reviews. I have realized the error of my ways... ;) Perhaps my lack of brain-use could be explained by the facts that I a) Just got back from vacation (7 hour drive and I am NOT good in cars), b) Am sleep-deprived, or c) Turned off the little grey cells for summer and haven't quite got them back yet... :D

I have been recommended this book by the guys over at ebudo.

Haven't read all of it yet, but it is just me or have any of the brits read this book yet.

I can't seem to relate to the writing style and many of the situations, although they can happen in the uk, seem alien to me.

I think it must be the style of writing, but it doesn't gel with me that well.
