Whoa, that was scary  . A very interesting insight into American politics!

LOL! That was great! But I wanted to hear the part where it kicks in with Brian May's screaming riffs.

BTW, new research shows that Bush's IQ is actually higher than Kerry's...

( click here for New York Times article ) (http://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/24/politics/campaign/24points.html?oref=regi&pagewanted=print&position=)

Here is the article that John is referring to.

Secret Weapon for Bush?
By JOHN TIERNEY

To Bush-bashers, it may be the most infuriating revelation yet from the military records of the two presidential candidates: the young George W. Bush probably had a higher I.Q. than did the young John Kerry.

That, at least, is the conclusion of Steve Sailer, a conservative columnist at the Web magazine Vdare.com and a veteran student of presidential I.Q.'s. During the last presidential campaign Mr. Sailer estimated from Mr. Bush's SAT score (1206) that his I.Q. was in the mid-120's, about 10 points lower than Al Gore's.

Mr. Kerry's SAT score is not known, but now Mr. Sailer has done a comparison of the intelligence tests in the candidates' military records. They are not formal I.Q. tests, but Mr. Sailer says they are similar enough to make reasonable extrapolations.

Mr. Bush's score on the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test at age 22 again suggests that his I.Q was the mid-120's, putting Mr. Bush in about the 95th percentile of the population, according to Mr. Sailer. Mr. Kerry's I.Q. was about 120, in the 91st percentile, according to Mr. Sailer's extrapolation of his score at age 22 on the Navy Officer Qualification Test.

Linda Gottfredson, an I.Q. expert at the University of Delaware, called it a creditable analysis said she was not surprised at the results or that so many people had assumed that Mr. Kerry was smarter. "People will often be misled into thinking someone is brighter if he says something complicated they can't understand," Professor Gottfredson said.

Many Americans still believe a report that began circulating on the Internet three years ago, and was quoted in "Doonesbury," that Mr. Bush's I.Q. was 91, the lowest of any modern American president. But that report from the non-existent Lovenstein Institute turned out to be a hoax.

You might expect Kerry campaign officials, who have worried that their candidate's intellectual image turns off voters, to quickly rush out a commercial trumpeting these new results, but for some reason they seem to be resisting the temptation.

Upon hearing of their candidate's score, Michael Meehan, a spokesman for the senator, said merely: "The true test is not where you start out in life, but what you do with those God-given talents. John Kerry's 40 years of public service puts him in the top percentile on that measure."

LOL! That was great!
Ditto! I watched it twice!
I missed this one. It was a great redo of Bohemian Rhapsody. I haven't heard that song since Wayne's World!

I had to go download the real song by Queen "Bohemian Rhapsody" mp3 ;)

Actually I don't believe in the IQ system and 10 points doesn't even seem that meaningful. Regardless that's an interesting read and I do agree with the fact that people do try to come off smart by using "big words"

I don't put much stock in the IQ thing either. Even though my IQ is higher than both of them :)

The IQ tests are too innaccurate to be trusted. They are estimates from a conservative. To me that means it needs to be taken with more than one grain of salt.

Anyway, I posted a video on here about Bush a while back that attempted to explain his loss of the ability to speak correctly.

He was a very good speaker. I'm shocked, that was some seriously great speaking done there. I was very convinced about what he was talking about but now he's just worse than an illegal immigrant at speaking at times. (and yes I've met illegal immigrants that speak better than him)

anyhow that link is bugging me out.

All that means is all you C students and lousy public speakers out there, Don't be despair. You too can be the President! (And may even be one of the greatest POTUS too!) :D Ain't this country great or what!

Except Bush wasn't a C student. He's not, or at least wasn't an idiot. He was a harvard and yale grad. Hmm I'm pretty sure you need better than a "C" to get into there (Even with the money of the Bush family).

He graduated from Yale with a C avg.
He made $16 million managing a baseball team.
He was one of the most successful Texas governors. He sent Ann Richard into retirement and was overwhlemingly reelected.
He is on track to be one of the best POTUS. :)

The left wing elites are royally peeved b/c with all their good grades and smooth talk, they lose out to him, again and again. In despair they ask, "Why can't I be just like George W Bush?" In denial, they proclaim, "Oh I know. It has to be b/c his daddy bought all his success for him!" :D

Do you not read anything I write?

I did not write that his father did anything for him.

Yale and Harvard are not average schools. A "C" average there is still much higher than the average American who can't point Iraq out on a map.

And where did you read I said you wrote anything about his father did anything for him? ;) Are you saying you are 'left wing elite' , Brandon? :wink2:

Yale and Harvard have an Ivy League namesake. It is more of a reputation thing. Graduates from other top tier state or private institutions, which are not Ivy League, are no worse than those from Yale and Harvard, if not better. HSince I am not from the Ivy League, I shall say no more. ;)

No. GW is not stupid. We know that. It is just political smear.
