Moving this thread to here. Since posting a thread about personal development, meditation, and buddhism resources which can be linked through a website I maintian, a non-related thread debate has erupted. So I think it is just in starting a whole new thread for this. Below I open the table by addressing the below points:
1) Kigakushi Ryu and Ian Thompson:
Hi Mr Thompson, glad you could join in. Firstly I appoligise if in any way I have caused problems to you. Yes it is true that at one time there was information about the Kigakushi Ryu posted on the website I now maintain, which was written by a guy called Greg Hayes, who was one of the main authors of the website along with Bruice (forgot last name) who studied both Kigakushi Ryu in Brisbane and Bujinkan under Wayne Roy.
At one time, after I took over the website, Mr Thompson emailed me and announed that the information which was posted was false & misleading. So I passed Mr Thompson's email on to Mr Hayes. The next thing I know, Mr Hayes asked me to remove it until it could be settled, the rest is history.
It is a fact that Mr Thompson is correct and that he did establish the Kigakushi Ryu. In doing so, he unlike the Bujinkan system, sets a very high standard of training for all the students to meet, to bring out their best, but to also challange them to overcome personal factors. This standard of training does exist Mr Thompson in schools in Annerly, Gold Coast, and once in Beenliegh before the acident (if you know or unaware of it). Students who did not perform and meet these standards were asked to leave.
These people are obvious past students of Mr Thompson or students of students of Mr Thompson. Whether they have permission or not I can't say. As I have siad before to Jeff and Don, I am not an authority on the system and told you to ask Mr Thompson himself (passing on his email).
Mr Thompson's system uses traditional approaches to training, very different to the panzy watered down training style, given by the Bujinkan and money has never been an issue, training always came first. Again I believe from reading Mr Thompson's threads, it is an obvious reflection of a system put in place by Mr Thompson. The only perosn that comes even close to this approach to training, was my Bujinkan instructor Mr Niel, who I trained under until.
2) Kobudo-no Ninjutsu Australia:
This is not a ninjutsu school, a backyard thing or anything like this. It was a webpage built for private information use by Greg Hayes, a few other instructors and students, for personal training and information archiving. How it ended up on the internet beats us all.
However we have taken advantage of this, by networking ninjutsu schools globally, iformation & services they have provided and by providing any information that may in any way benifit/value people. I'm now the webmaster of this site and it is my job to answer emails, edit, add, etc the website and anything on it as I am paid to do so.
3) Closing:
In closing, I must agree 100% with Mr Thompson, this is not a web forum for posting information to assist others. It is more of something for people (club for the boys, a circle of friends) who have nothing better to do with their time, but take anything good people write / contribute, and tear it apart to find any fault they can to show off their manhood (immaturity and narrow mindness), misconceptions and level of Bujinkan brainwashing recieved.
