I know that Jinenkan and To-Shin Do Ninpo are branch offs from Bujinkan Ninpo. I am just curious as to why they branched off and what the major differences between the 3 arts are.
I am new to Ninpo, and I'm just curious. Thank you.
Why worry about such things. Noone here has any more of an idea than you. Some will have opinions, some opinions based on things they have heard. There are only a few people that can truly answer your questions and they don't post on this or any other forum.

I only asked out of curiosity, I never worry
Noone here has any more of an idea than you.
You feel confident enough to answer for all of the forum members on this board?
Some will have opinions, some opinions based on things they have heard.
This can be a touchy subject, and like all touchy subjects (id est religion, politics, lifestyle, etc.) someone's bound to cross the line with their opinion and offend someone else; this is why I'd appreciate facts only, so if noone has any facts then please don't reply and we'll let this thread go down to the bottom of the list and die, thank you

Actually on another forum a former member of To-Shin Do and Nidan in Bujinkan replied to an identicle post I made. He didn't say much, but I appreciated the fact that he replied and remained respectful to the all the styles of Ninpo he mentioned.
I'm sorry if my question somehow offended you, but you weren't required to reply.

I trained for years in Japan under Manaka Sensei, founder of the Jinenkan. I've also been the translator when he was asked the question about why the split happened. In his words, he wanted to teach using his way of teaching. I'm glad he did, as I see many people learning quickly and accurately all over the world. Perhaps this is still an "opinion based on what I've heard" but I heard it from the man himself. Does this help?
On an immediately observable level, we train in the Jinenkan primarily on the methods and basics (our favorite word) as the most important. Sure, we might work on "more advanced" things as we progress...but we are constantly reminded that there is nothing more important than proper basics.
In my own training, I find that every time I get better at some "advanced" element, it traces immediately back to having improved at one of the basics. I'm a former Bujinkan member, and now one of a handful of 4th dan within the Jinenkan, and a teacher in this system, with years of training with Sensei in a very small group...and I still work on punches, kicks, rolls, etc every day. We consider it that important!
But, if perhaps I'm not enough of an authority, Manaka Sensei is a registered user at the new Jinenkan forum: www.JissenKobudo.com (http://jissenkobudo.com)
And, he has gone online in the past to answer questions in another forum, as well. So, yes, those who know do go online to help answer these questions.

Thank You for your reply, it's shed a bit more light on the subject for me.
...and even Soke Shoto Tanemura goes online and is registered to his forum, I completely disregarded that other post for this reason ;)

 Yeah... I think the one I got on Jinenkan was better here, but that's beside the point...

Maby I'm not the best informed in the arts
That is an understatement.
And the way you butchered your spelling really makes it almost impossible to tell just what the heck you are talking about. Some things like "daken" are used in the Bujinkan and Jinenkan, etc. While "shihodori" is used in aikido- but the term is known by all the Japanese I know in the Bujinkan.
Of course, a lot of frauds are aping the terms used in the Takamatsu-den nowdays. So even if you find a school using the terms used in Japan, it might mean they did a bit of reading before starting their won fake style. Of maybe they did some asking on the internet.

C'mon quit kidding around. You train in the ultimate style of ninjutsu, so we all know you know these terms already...

dAKEN tAIJUTSU KINHON GATA. and what is Shuto Ken,Shiho Dori.U Ken,Daki Jime Dori
about all i can decipher from this lot is:
Daken Taijustsu - this refers primarily to striking techniques (as opposed to Jutaijutsu which encompases locks and throws)
Kinhon Gata - looks like it should be Kihon Kata which in reality is Kihon Happo No Kata (not sure why it is pre-fixed with Daken Taijutsu though ??)
Shuto Ken - a way of striking with the edge of the hend
Dori - applied as term to indicate a counter technique (as I understand it, for example Ganmon Dori, a push-pull type counter to a hip throw)
Jime - ura jime is a strangulation using the clothing, daki jime? don't know
It would help if you tried to type a bit more clearly :)

Why did you post this in here?
It has absolutely nothing to do with the topic.
Does every thread need to take this turn?
How often does this happen?
lp1, I suggest you make your own topic for your many questions and statements instead of hijacking random threads.
Why are you being so rude I just wanted to ask some Questions I know who has Honor yes me and who don't have Honor ???? I just wanted some answers.

Sorry if I seemed rude, I wasn't trying to be, but I posted this question in hopes that someone would be able to answer it... chances are I will not get the complete answer I'm looking for in here, but I hopefully will get bits and pieces of information over time that will shed more light on the subject for me.
Anyway, the reason I replied to your post the way I did was because it had absolutely nothing to do with the reason this thread was made, and if it keeps going off topic the way it is it will surely be locked. Thank You.

Don't apologize. You are completely correct and Larry is just showing a lack of honor by taking an attitude at you. People of honor would realize they were wrong, apologize and try not to repeat their behavior.
Maybe the moderators can branch this thing off into a seperate thread. If you are looking for a title may I suggest, "silly questions posed by someone who knows nothing about ninjutsu."
