HiYa Group,

I found the US Army FM3.25-150. I specialize in Chapter 8.

I keep seeing references on the web that the USMC MCMAC program is similar...

(IMHO) For some reason this sounds a bit spurious to me.

Does any one know of a downloadable version of the MCMAC manual???

Thank You

Soulend & TonyU ought to know.

Which is Ch. 8? Is that the groundfighting?

I have an original Field Manual FM21-150 from the 70's. Obviously it has been updated. I can't seem to get an updated version. So if someone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. The original Chapter 8 has what they call "Specialized Skills" covering "Hold and counters to holds", "Variations to throws and takedowns", "Sentry silencing", and "Prisoner searching and securing"
I would assume that the newer manual probably added ground defense like the USMC, but it's only an assumption on my part.

HiYa Group,

Hey
Soulend & TonyU ought to know. Yeppers, I would think so...<VBG>

This is from the current FM3-25.150

Which is Ch. 8? Is that the groundfighting? No, Chapter 3 is "GROUNDFIGHTING".

Chapter 8 is "STANDING DEFENSE".

Here is a current link for it.

Yeap, I got a chance to compare. It appears the Army manual goes a little more in depth, but they are similar.

I concur with your findings. I would have thought there would have been more differences... Sorta like same station, different train...<VBG>

I'm glad to see that BOTH the ARMY and USMC have made serious efforts at upgrading their standard combatives.

The USMCMAP is too large for download. All of the material together is a HUGE file.

HiYa Group,

Hey Tim,

The USMCMAP is too large for download. All of the material together is a HUGE file.

Is the MCMAP newer than February, 1999?

If it is, could you please send me a link?

Thanks Much.
