I am a white sash now;

Embarassing story
My first KB grading I came late about 20 mins, Me and my dad took a train because he don't know whre the place is he was about to drive, we bought the tickest and the train delayed so we wait for another 25 mins it change a path so we ran and miss the train then the train change to no. 4 then it got delayed to 10.28 am then it chage agin so we got the train after it came to the training place we took a taxi and went there.

I found out we were late my KB friends werer looking for me and i was standing near the doorway and my Instrutor came to me and said I was late after the grading finished I was about to go back home then my instrutor ask me to grade with the higher grade so I took the part and he said get changed (I dashed) I went to the changing room and found out my KB shrots were at home so I can't train with jeans then the other instrutor said you can take the grading at the corridor its really embarrsssing but I Pass even with thick jeans I can perfrom good kicks than still.

I am a white sash now am going to buy a unifroem later...

Well, I think my sensei would have hit the roof if I turned up 20mins late, he probably wouldn't have let me grade. And if I hadn't brought uniform after all that...it scares me to even think of his reaction! :eek:

Congratulations anyway. How far into your training is a white sash? I don't know anything about kickboxing...

20 minutes late and didnt bring your uniform??? And he let you test???

1 minute late and you fail here.
Forget a piece of your uniform and try again next time.
Even the kids. I dont care if their 5.

Sash for kick boxing?

Good Advisor post real name.

Give the kid a break. His profile says he is 16. For all you know, this could be the best he can do. I wasn't aware that grammar and punctuation were prerequisites for posting here.

In terms of the actual CONTENT of his post, I would have to agree with the others. Showing up 20 minutes into a grading typically means you don't get to grade. Not have part of your uniform, DEFINITELY means you don't get to grade.

Chris, Dennis' request was perfectly reasonable and polite. He didn't criticize the young man; you criticized Dennis.

White sash? Sounds Chinese to me.

The dojo is a great place low consequence place to learn some life lessons.
Being late and unprepared should not be rewarded.
Martial arts needs to get back to that.

Its is strange to have sash in kickboxing but in are club you star off with no sash. And you have to turn up to the seseions regulary and two months or so you allwoed to grade;

none - begineer
white
yellow
orange
green
blue - intermediate
purple
brown
brown
black -advanced
black 2
etc
If you train regualry and depends on the persons perfomance you can grade to a black sash in 4-5 years is an exception 6-8 years average I think... I never ask somone before.

That's funny, up until a few posts ago you followed the same rules as the rest of us. You cite security reasons, I am curious.

You only have to wait for two months between gradings? We have four...but I think that's an advantage because it gives us a lot more time to practise.

What's "digimons"? :confused:

Actually it only for non sash;
the yellow-orange-green sash etc graded about 4 months
And the brown have 2 times a year if they're ready.

Where are you from?
