Well for anybody interested i attended this school last night.
It wasn't a typical training night , as they had another Wing Chun school there and were comparring styles. The teacher used to be a cop before an accident costing him his leg. He insists that he is not called Sifu but Terry. He says there are many styles of Wing Chun, and that the style he teaches is what he believes in, he said if this is what i want, it's alot of fun.
It is the science of In-Fighting, the sifu explains to me that most real fights are actually quite close in and that Wing Chun is a very effective, fast way of fighting close-in.
Also when the comparring of the schools was over, they then paired up and seemed to stand really close to each other, struggle with their arms for a while, then try and grab each others face and throat, when this was achieved by one, they stopped and started struggling again.
Based on this Wing Chun looks kind of boring, but the routines they can do look good to learn.
I would like to see some propper training so i can really see what Wing Chun is all about. Any body with knowledge on Wing Chun out there think they can lift my spirits on this subject a little ?
Do you think if u lose a fight you should immediatley reflect on why you lost?
