I'll say that again. I will never...EVER...wear a hard cup again! I purchased a Shock Doctor Protective Flex Cup (http://internationaljock.com/zpage10-3540.html) (<--linked) and I was simply amazed at the comfort and performance of it over a hard protective cup.
My hard cup was killing my groin muscles and the occassional "pinch" wasn't appreciated either. I had to try something new. Low and behold I stumbled across this product at International Jock (http://internationaljock.com/index.html) (<--linked) and thought I would give it a try. I'm glad I did! I received the item in three business days after ordering from their secure web site and confirmation email was sent.
I wore it to my BJJ class the day it arrived. Right off the bat I catch an elbow square in the crotch and then later get a knee in the same place. I felt the slightest pressure, enough to know that something was there that really ought not be, and and it stayed in place. There was no pain, discomfort, or interference of my own movement. If this had happened with my hard cup, I would have had the edges of the cup bite into my groin muscles and it would have slipped a little to the left or right and "pinched" me. I know this because it happened before on a regular basis. The covered area didn't breathe very well and I definitely couldn't squeeze with my thighs or scissor sweep with the hard cup without some digging. Not so with the flex cup! Just awesome.
Seriously, after using this new soft flex cup, I just can't understand why anyone would ever choose a hard cup. You need to be brave and check it out for yourself. I'm positive you'll never use a hard cup again.
Peace
