Seems to be the custom to post newbie intros on forums these days...
Long time lurker. I have posted my intro here because this is where I think I have the most in common with the membership, and will probably spend the most time. I have been impressed of late with the quality of info and the background of the posters, and the overall approach encompassing various arts and how they might serve to prepare us for the arena of modern confrontation.
My main areas of study have been in judo, jujutsu of different denominations, and weapons based stuff of Japanese and Filipino origin tweaked for modern application, and some other stuff too long ago.
Serving LEO in the Pacific Northwest. Heavy into use-of-force training with my agency in patrol and tactical fields, mainly the latter. Committed to testing in the proving ground of the force-on-force environment.
