Where On-line is the absolute best place to buy muay thai pads and protective gear for training?
Also, what is the difference between the pads and a muay thai shield?
They are both worn on the forearms it looks like.
If I could only afford one, which one would you go with to get the most out of your training since I have no practice equipment and need something to do knee, elbow, kicks, strikes et cetra as soon as possible?
Thanks for any help,
Rob Kastner :karate:

Thai pads are forearm pads and belly pad.
I can get them pretty cheaper and at good quality.
The prices I pay change form time to time so Ill get back to you tommorrow.
But I could get arm pads and belly pad for about $120 for the whole set.
Ill even do a little video of how to use them.
Jeff
I'm definitely interested, especially with the video.

Good...
Come on up and be in it.
It would actually be good to work with someone I dont already work with on the video cause teaching it to and them seeing the changes teaches them.
You know our doors are always open to you Tony.
You get a couple 3 days off come up to Boston. I live right across the street and have an extra room.
I like taking training sabbaticals and I like working with people on them. One of the biggest rewards for me is helping people pick up something new or improving their current material.
We teach people focus mitts and kick shield and then combine that for the Thai pads. Both holding for hits and feeding strikes for defense.
Once you go Thai pads its hard to go back.
Jeff
how you going.
well i find the best thai pads to use are windys or twins (windys are hard to find) as they are nice and hard and well stitched, they will hold form for a long time, but they are at the more expensive end of the market. perfect for conditioning the shins. You should also look into the brand thaismai
