View Full Version : fighting with 2 swords?
hey guys, i have been wanting to study a martial arts that allows me to use 2 swords at once but i don't know which one. can anyone help me out. thank you.
Shinkage ryu, Shingyoto-ryu, TSKSR, Niten Ichi Ryo Hyoho. Good luck.
Does it have to be a Japanese sword art?
kali is a good one to start with.
Kendo, but you'll have to clock in a few years of single sword work before moving onto two swords.
All the ones David mentioned are primarily single-sword schools with some two sword work.
Kali/escrima is the only one that will get you going on two swords fairly quickly, but it's not really swords - more long knives or sticks.
Some of the reconstruction western fencing groups do a sword and dagger type thing.
umm, im not entirely sure if im correct, but if you do kung fu, you can use two butterfly swords. but again you have to learn the basics 1st!. check it out. i myself am looking to start a MA so im not going to garuntee this info
