Master Felix,
I deleted your large sized graphic because it takes up a lot of bandwidth.

Also remember that we are supposed to ban people who use large graphics. Please don't keep doing it.
Would you like to reveal why you want people to click on the link?
The posting was intended for WKF members and individuals who may be interested in WKF’s updates. Others individuals who may not support or care for WKF are cordially invited to solicit their non-productive opinions elsewhere.
I will be more careful in the future about posting graphics. I hope that if restricted from posting it will be based on budoseek policies and not on personal ideology, nor the pursuit of excluding any association in hope of promoting their own

Mr. Lugo,
I have warned you in the past about posting large graphics. This is a Budoseek! policy. I asked why you posted as there was only a site and no information. Actually, the English portion of the site did not seem to be working earlier.
I tried the link in Explorer, Opera, and Firefox, and the English link doesn't work in any of them.
Nice eye gouge on the front page. I wonder what the entering technique was?

The following was taken directly from the World Kido Hae Federation site:
We are in the process of updating our website. In the meantime, please check out the new Hanminjok Hapkido Association website at www.hmjhapkido.or.kr. The Korean section is up; the English section will be coming soon!

Is this Seo's style of HKD? What does the name mean?
Hi Guys,
Sweet Felix, thanks for the link! I hope the English section is up soon.
Frank,as far as I saw,yes it's his "style",but I didn't see any video, only a couple pictures in the gallery. I have been on the receiving end of his technique, and let me tell you it's very powerful!
I hope they put up some good video so you guys can see it. If I recall correctly.."Hanminjok" means something like "All-Korean"..kinda like All-American". That's what I was told, anyway. Thanks again for that,Felix!

Yep, its his new federation. Isn't his style Kuk Sool Won with a name change?

Probably. He has gone under KSW for many many years now. Claiming that it is an authentic KMA and that Hapkido is not. Interesting turn of events, eh?

Greetings,
Kuk Sool was a break away of Hapkido anyway so it came full circle, cause Kuk Sool won't put the BIG $$$ in your pocket like a Hapkido Association can.
JP also marketed his CH to earn big $$$ so my guess in GM Seo said if JP can make it big and I certified him I should get a piece of the pie as well.
All just speculation on my part?
Hi guys,
I can learn much from him,and apparently so can a lot of others. Kuk Sool Won,Hwa Rang Do,Hapkido,Hankido,whatever....the point is he was there in the beginning, when many,if not most, of you(myself included) were not.
The last seminar I attended had representatives of almost every major Hapkido org there is,I wonder...if GM Seo is soooo horrible, what were all those people doing there practicing his technique? The proof is in the pudding,so they say.
You don't have to like the Hanminjok Hapkido Association, that is your perogotive, but don't jump on the Hapkido Political "but my Master said..." Handcart until you've seen and felt for yourself. In the words of the big F.G. "...and that's all I have to say about that!"

I like Kuk Sool myself. I also have a lot of respect for GM Seo. He was close friends with GM Myung Jae Nam. I have some video footage of him at an IHF event back in the late 80's or early 90's.

Paul
I have no problem with him at all in any way nor do i question his tech.
I"m wondering a loud why a Hapkido Assoc. since he taugt Kuk Sool for the last 40 years?
Could it be that Hapkido is more profitable so he came back to it? How many people are interested in Kuk Sool certification or training compared to HKD?
Hi again,guys,
OK...that's a viable question, but I can think of a lot of questions about a lot of Hapkido Org's. and their heads....*shrugs*
I can't speak for anyone but myself,obviously.. :D ....and maybe it is about the $, I just don't see a lot of millionares (or thousandares, for that matter) teaching Hapkido. I just know the standards we hold to in our own Dojang, and that most of the people I have met in Hanminjok are very talented Hapkidoin.
Since it seems I'm the only one on here that is a member of Hanminjok that will attempt to communicate,I'll just say what I know about the background of the "name" thing......
Seems I heard about certificates in the late 50's early 60's bearing the title Kuk Sool Hapkido....maybe they decided to "go back" to their roots? I've also heard things about said Kuk Sool Hapkido still in existence in Korea.
I know that GM Seo has a Dahn certificate from Choi dated from 1958 and I would be hard pressed to see a huge difference in what technique I've seen from him,and from other top-notch Hapkidoin I've come across. I don't know or have no idea why someone with a certificate from the father of Hapkido could/would possibly say that Hapkido isn't an "authentic" KMA...got me. Maybe because of the alleged DRAJJ link? If you know where that tidbit came from,I'd like to see it, for my own conclusion jumping. :)
I really wouldn't want to do much more speculation than that. OK...I'm really done now... :D I'm gonna go back to being a good little drone Hapkidoin.

Greetings
True the HKD teachers aren't rich, but some of the Association owners make a very nice profit from all type of certs etc.
I would like to hear some clarification from GM Seo as to if he is a Hapkido man or a Kuk Sool man, his own published history says he's a Kuk Sool GM with a seperate history from HKD completely.
I think it's important to say were you stand. BTW if he said I teach both that would be fine I'd just like to know?

Particularly after going through great pains to say that Hapkido was not a Korean martial art and that he learned a traditional Korean Martial Art called Kuk Sool.... I'm thinking that was in volume one of his Kuk Sool Won books....
I'd be willing to wager that if I did that I'd be crucified by the KMA community but since he is Korean, no one says anything? Do we not see something wrong with this double standard?
