About the only thing you can do is let it heal for which there are several agents that you could apply to help the process, and then train again. However, if this happens repeatedly, then it will probably continue to happen period. Once regular tissue is replaced with scar tissue, it is much easier to re-tear than it was before.
In the meantime, try taping the injured area and see what happens...

Yes, try tapping it and see if that helps. You could also try the
product "tough skin" which basically is a spray that toughens up
a cut area and allows it to heal. Bottom line though is that you
just need to practice for awhile with bare feet and the bottoms
of your feet will toughen up and this problem will go away.

We used to condition the bottoms of our feet for week long abusive hikes by rubbing them down with rubbing alcohol once a day. Might help.
Also, get your feet checked for fungus by a pro. It can be hard to spot and will deaden the elasticity of the skin."Fear, not compassion, restrains the wicked."

This will only dry the skin out and exacerbate the problem.
Let them heal. Tape and tough skin are good options. Once they heal start training them on short carpet for short periods, 30 to 45 minutes, no more than three time a week. It will abrade and toughen without over drying the feet.
The idea of getting them checked for fungus is dead on.

Tough Skin or something like it should be available at
almost any pharmacy such as Rite Aid, etc. With the
wrapping of the foot, you are just going to have to
experiment. However when taping the foot wrap
all the way around it so that it has the potential to
stay on. Good luck.
