Hyungs from the Mooyei-Dobo-Tongji
The forms I am looking for are the following four series:
Chil Sung
Yuk Ro
Sip Dan Keum
Hwa Sun
I am trying to compile information on these forms and was wondering if anyone can poiunt me in the direction of either text or images/video that covers these. I am aware that not all of these forms are taught in every organisation or are quite new to others, so any sort of a start would be benefitial.
Thankyou.

The only source I know of is the late Hwang Kee's book on advanced MDK forms. It has his son demonstrating them.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

you probably already know this but the chil sung forms (means seven star) were created by GM hwang kee himself. as i understand it, there are 7. the first two (or maybe 3) are taught in the gup levels, the rest have been inserted in the dan levels. they are taught in soo bahk do, so any of the manuals for that should have them (the second is taught at orange or green belt level, the first is actually taught later). Also GM Ho Sik Pak's Tang Soo Do manual vol. 1 has at least one of them, maybe 2. sorry i cannot be more helpful.

The chil Sung hyungs """that I know of""" are only taught in two organizations and to my knowledge they are taught they way Hwang Kee wanted them taught The USSBDF and the TSDMGK Asscoiation. And that goes for the yuk-ro and Hwa-sun Hyung as well. As far as the Ship Dan Khum Hyungs go I was told that they are only taught in Korea for right now...

Thanks Michel. I'm a member of the UK Tang Soo (Soo Bahk) Do Federation, Moo Duk Kwan. They have just released a new training book that lists all the dradeable Hyungs we have. All seven Chil Sung forms are in there and also Ship Dan Khum. Also unofficially some people can learn the first Yuk Ro Hyung. I've been able to learn it but it's a case of 'shh, don't let anyone from outside our class see you practice it' and there's no background info about it.
I learn something new everyday.

Mr. Pope -
As a member of the Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan Association, I fail to understand why you would need to go any where else to get all the Hyungs.
KJN Ferraro has all the Hyungs in his dvd series, you should contact them for imformation on how to get the dvd series.
The dvds have all the Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan requirements, that your a member of, you really shouldn't need to look any place else.

Thanks to Mr B. for jumping in there before me

It's a UK TSD Fed only book, you have to be a member to get it from your instructor.
The book by our GM that is available puiblicly (you can find it on Amazon - look for Kang Uk Lee as author) goes up to Chil Sung Sam Ro for those forms. It doesn't contain the other Hyung groups mentioned previously and in fact is now slightly out of date as Chil Sung Sa Ro and Oh Ro are now 3rd Dan forms. Maybe in the future we will see a new edition released to the public with the updated Hyungs.
I don't know if Grand Master Ferraro has a book out but I have heard of his videos, probably the best place for yourself to start.I learn something new everyday.

Why look someplace else? Why not? There is moe than one way to look at things, & I think that may be what Michel is trying to do. The same reason I would be interested in Gm Ferraro's material even though I am not a member of his organization.
