    I run that one.

My teacher studied under that man and a man name Mr. Toyomosei (spelling ??? ). In addition to his Goju Ryu background Sensei also has 4th Dan paper in Uechi Ryu.

For a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu guy I have a decent Karate pedigree.

    Too bad I suck.

Thumbs up High Level Karateka's on Video

Tony Urena posted this in another thread, but I think it should have its own thread:

    Nakazato Sensei
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLHZpSVCoGg

So, here's a thread to post links to high, high level karateka. No XMA. Just stuff the average layperson wouldn't find impressive but folks here know enough to.

I had posted that before and also started a thread as well. It's been awhile. Nothing new has been posted awhile so it's been somewhat dormant. I'll make the original a sticky, merge this one, and we continue it.

Ahagon sensei of Shorin Ryu Reihokan performing Sakugawa Dai Ni.
He was one of Nakazato sensei's seniors who has since branched out on his own. Prior to that he trained with Chibana sensei before he passed away.
He is now my teachers sensei and he teaches everything exactly the same as Nakazato.

Great find Tony! Very good bo kata... but did'nt see any big twirling releases, backflips or using the bo as a pole to vault with. What kinda "bo staff" kata is that?

Seriously, that was impressive. I would love to learn a whole lot more about Ahagon sensei.

That's what interested me. It's nice to see that Shorin ryu is in good hands for the future.

I have taken a interest in reihokan ever since Mr. Spence mentioned them to me. Ahagon Sensei's power is just incredible especially for a man of his size.

You know Spence? I didn't know that. Did he invite you come down to his gasshuku a couple of months ago to train with his sensei?
I managed to make it down. it was exceptional.

I have followed his diaries on his trips to Okinawa for a couple of years but I finally emailed and called just recently. He did invite me unfortunetly we had a event going that week here also that I couldn't get away from. I heard that it was great and I wish I had been able to get down there.

Wow, thanks for posting this. His blocks, IMHO, would shatter the offending arm or leg they blocked and he'd probably only have to hit all but a rhinocerous only once for them to go down.

The second clip doesn't link for me.
